Colorado Strawberry Full Moon Floral Party

On a warm June afternoon we came together to share stories and play with flowers waiting for the full Strawberry Moon to rise.

The Setting

We found a perfect spot in Lory State Park that provided shade from the summer sun and scenic surroundings as the backdrop. A mother deer even came to check out our gathering and, after deeming us no threat, she actually brought her 2 babies to the stream right next to our sharing circle.

What We Did

Elycia Feldman of Wild Blossoms Studio led the group in learning to make our own lush flower crowns from local Colorado blooms and then we crowned each other to celebrate the fullness of summer. Each attendee got her own mini Wild Woman Portrait session to commemorate the occasion. Afterwards, the keepsake journals were passed around along with prompts dwelling on summer solstice themes of light and energy. We had a very raw and intimate sharing session where the women brought their burdens to the group and received the wisdom and understanding of the other attendees. We wrote down something that we needed to release and burned it in the single candle, Right at the end, we watched the full moon rise over the ridge as a perfect ending to the evening.
